Hagia Triada Church
Hagia Triada Church contains a central dome and double bell tower and it is one of the most magnificent churches in the Pera region today. The foundation of the structure was laid in 1867, and its opening was held on September 14, 1887. Based on the Greek inscription in the narthex of the church, it is understood that its architect was Vasilios Ioannis Efendi.
The structure is located in a courtyard built on a high land and surrounded by walls. The church on the east-west axis has the characteristics of a basilica with a cross plan within a square. The structure, which is dated to the second half of the 19th century, is one of the most outstanding examples of eclectic architecture with its Neogothic façade, Medieval-style windows, and Neoclassical-style bell tower. The Hagia Triada Church was completely renovated and reopened in 2003.
